Enterprise customers can search across their entire asset library with a more powerful, centralized search that scans file names, transcripts, tags, and comments.
💡 Searching across all asset transcripts is only available for Enterprise customers. To learn more about unlocking this feature for your team, email [email protected].
Where you can perform a centralized search:
In some contexts, the search bar is a simple filter search for whichever view you’re on (e.g. a specific Collection or project) that looks for an exact match based on file name.
If you’re looking to perform a centralized search across transcripts, file names, comments, and tags, you can do that in the following places:
Within All Media on your home dashboard in your team’s account
Within a project under Project > All Media
Within a project under Team > All Media
Within your home dashboard or a project under Team > Collections
Note: You must enter the collection in order to conduct a unified search.
How it works:
Upload a large library of footage with spoken audio that can be transcribed (For example: interview footage, webinars)
💡 How to transcribe media clips with audio:
Once your media is uploaded, select the clip you'd like to transcribe
Navigate over to the Transcript tab, whether you're in your media library, Project page, Canvas, or Timeline
If your properties panel is not opened, click the period [.] key on your keyboard.
From here, select "Click to transcribe"

Determine themes or topics you’d like to organize/gather for your edit
Let’s say you have a large library of interview footage about the history of tennis and you want to gather together clips that discuss the evolution of play styles on grass at Wimbledon.
Head to the media library, collection you’ve created or project, then search for the key words you are looking for and hit “return”
You could search for “grass playing style” or “Wimbledon” to see all the relevant excerpts where these terms are mentioned.
Create range comments based on key moments
Once you determine the key words you’d like to search for, single select a clip within the media library/collection/project and go through the relevant excerpts. Your key words will already be built out in all of the transcripts for you to quickly navigate to the exact moments throughout the transcript.
Create range comments of the key moments you want to use for your current edit or an edit later down the road.
