How to navigate Scene Transcripts

View the transcript for an entire Scene. Scan and edit your entire Scene’s content more easily with a new Scene-level transcript panel.

Updated over a week ago

Generating a transcript for individual assets is a great way to make scanning content, creating selects, and identifying spots that need edits more easily — but what if you want to view the transcript for an entire scene, as you’re editing it? Thanks to our latest update, now you can.

Scene settings panel

Now in your Scene settings panel, you’ll see a new transcript tab that you can click through or search across. As you click on or highlight pieces of your transcript, the playhead will automatically navigate to that segment of the scene in case you want to make any tweaks or changes to that

Choosing a Preferred Track

Within the Scene transcript tab you can also choose a “preferred” track from a dropdown menu, which determines which audio track takes precedence in the case of overlapping dialog.

This new Scene transcript unlocks a handful of key new workflows:

  • Scan Scene’s text to quickly understand the dialogue

  • Quickly scan the output of an AI Editor prompt

  • Easily share a paper cut of any edit, either with the video or as a document

  • Copy the transcript for the entire scene at any time

  • See the transcript change dynamically as you trim and re-order content
