How do I animate my media, text, and shapes?

You have the ability to add builds to videos, text, and other elements. Customize its duration, scale, fade, direction, and more.

Builds

💡 Note: To add shapes, transitions, effects, and animations, navigate to the icons on the left-hand tool bar that read: “Open Shapes” & "Open Transitions, Effects, Animations".

  • Builds up level elements like shapes, titles, and media clips on your timeline. With builds, you can customize its duration, scale, fade, direction, and more. Choose which animation you want and drag it onto the element you want to animate. Adjust the animation’s build in and build out within the properties panel.

💡 Note: You can click the play icon in the properties panel to easily preview the how the animation will appear in your final output

  1. Click the "Builds" heading

  2. Choose which build you want and drag it onto the element you want to animate.

    Note: When you drag the animation on the beginning of the media clip, the clip will read "build in". When you drag the animation to the end of the media clip, the clip will read "build out".

  3. To customize the animation, go to the "Properties" panel on the right of your screen and scroll down to where it says "Animations".

  4. Adjust as you see fit.
