To add a title, open a project in timeline or canvas mode, and click the box with the T inside it, on the left menu.

From here, you can then drag the titles onto your timeline or canvas to customize them just how you like. Drag the selected title and place it above the main track.

To edit the title, select the title and begin altering the title within your properties panel. You can adjust the text (of course), font (you can even upload a custom font), alignment, tracking line spacing stroke, drop shadows, and more.
