Color Effects

Basic Color Correction

Correcting the color within your video will ultimately make your video come alive by providing a stylistic feel to it. The goal is to fix any imbalances in the clips and make them come together.

  1. Select your media on the timeline or canvas

  2. Choose "Color Effects" within the properties panel

  3. Click "Basic Color Correction"

  4. From here, adjust the various sliders as you see fit

Color LUT

Additionally, if you'd hoping to give your imported media a solid look across all projects, import a LUT. You can think of a LUT as a filter, which will help change how footage appears on screen. To add a LUT directly to a clip:

  1. Select your media on the timeline or canvas

  2. Choose "Color Effects" within the properties panel

  3. Click "Color LUT"

  4. From here, select or add a LUT

White Balance

Finally, if you're looking to give your video a cooler or warmer look. Adjust the temperature or tint to give your video a touch of color.

  1. Select your media on the timeline or canvas

  2. Choose "Color Effects" within the properties panel

  3. Click "White Balance"

  4. From here, play around with the Temperature and Tint sliders in order to get just the right look for your video
