Your timeline should look the way you want it to. Within timeline mode, hover between your timeline and preview window. This will allow you to adjust the width of your timeline.
Once hovering, click and slide up or down in order to make your timeline taller or shorter.
Pro tip: By hovering over and sliding the right and left the edges of the preview window, you will also increase or decrease the size of your preview window.
